Senior Marketing Excellence Manager (m/f/d)

Goal of Function:

The Senior Marketing Excellence Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the development and implementation of marketing excellence initiatives across the organization.  This role is essential for driving operational efficiency, supporting strategic alignment, and ensuring effective integration of global strategies with local execution. The Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance commercial excellence processes and lead to the successful execution of marketing excellence projects.

Preamble:

The Senior Manager Marketing Excellence (SME) will be responsible for managing and executing marketing excellence initiatives within the organization. The SME will collaborate with various departments including Business Units, Commercial Operations, Legal, Compliance, Medical, and CBS to support successful project execution within defined timelines and budgets. The role focuses on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and ensuring a consistent approach across the product lifecycle. The SME will contribute to the overall vision and strategy of the governance and PMO efforts within Commercial Business Services.

Main Responsibilities:

Leading cross-functional projects teams and managing steering committee meetings as well as supporting department strategy developmentCreate and Manage project plans for strategic marketing initiatives, marketing excellence projects and process improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategiesCo-creation and management of governance frameworks to ensure effective project executionWork closely with external & internal stakeholders like product development, marketing, sales, medical, legal, compliance, and other departments to ensure alignment and coordination throughout the project lifecycleCollaborate with (senior) project managers to manage and execute projects successfullyMonitor and track project progress, ensuring milestones are met and project schedules are maintainedImplement and maintain processes for continuous risk assessment and improvementPrepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership, providing insights into project performance and strategic recommendationsSolicit feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and incorporate feedback into project plans

What we expect from you?

Master’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field and approx. 6-8 years of experience in a relevant area of responsibilityProven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Manager in a product development or launch environment. Project management qualifications (e.g., Prince2, PMI) are a plus.Strong understanding of project management, product launch principles, methodologies, and tools, preferably in the Medical Device industryStrategic thinker with strong decision-making abilities under changing conditions or conflicting requirements & a getting things done mentality are highly desiredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize and analyze data effectivelyHigh social competence with strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams as well as resilient and adaptable in times of uncertainty and changeUnderstanding of strategic marketing processes in the product life cycleKnowledge of MedTech regulatory boundaries are highly welcomeStrong commercial mindset with a focus on customer and sales needsFluent in the country language and English (presenting, writing, reading); additional languages are an assetWillingness to travel and work in an international environment with international standards
