Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $3,154 to $3,408+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. May be eligible for a discretionary bonus annually

Job Summary:
The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of Copper Mountain marketing initiatives, working closely with and under the direction of the Director of Marketing in terms of overall strategy and direction. Plans will be executed on time and within budget, with the input and assistance from appropriate members of the marketing and resort team. The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing marketing projects to support Copper Mountain’s financial, room night and skier visit goals as well as to assist resort business units in maximizing revenue and/or profit from each guest visit. Also ensures the Copper Mountain brand standards and associated sub-brands are consistently executed and accurately communicated in both design and messaging to internal and external partners. This position is responsible for management and oversight of CopperColorado.com, WoodwardCopper.com, paid, and owned media plan execution, including planning and execution of in-state media buys, In-Resort Marketing efforts and maintaining the Marketing team’s overall budget. In addition, responsible for all CRM and guest database management including email newsletters and targeted communications. The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for management of various marketing roles and direct reports within the Marketing team. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Marketing Manager exhibits the following skills and implements the following programs to be successful in this position.
Maintain full knowledge of Copper and Woodward Copper Products and involvement in further development of new products and programs
Provide leadership, strategic and tactical direction for CopperColorado.com
Provide leadership, communication, strategic and tactical direction for all Woodward Copper and Copper emails including sub-brands.
Responsible for all contractual agreements with in-county media outlets ensuring the best rates are secured for Copper and Woodward. Ensures buys are fulfilled on time and to a high-standard.
Work with, maintain and build relationships with third party vendors, including CRM, website hosting, and paid media
Work with Director on placement of paid media buy with third party – strategic and tactical plans aligned to reach overall business goals and direction.
Leads strategy development of in-resort marketing program including in-resort emails, weekly newsletter and signage throughout the resort.
Oversees successful implementation of Copper and Woodward branding across all marketing executions
Leads Woodward Copper team to develop marketing, media buy plan, emails, maintain budgets, helps maintain WoodwardCopper.com, guidance on any promotions and ensure brand is to company standards.
Work closely with Communications Manager to ensure alignment across all communications
Work with Powdr Enterprise Team – Partners/Sponsors - to ensure partner contractual marketing obligations are met and exceed expectations – emails, digital signage, website presence, promotional presence, collateral and in-resort signage.
Works in close partnership with Events Team
Create and execute go-to-market plan across all paid and owned media channels ensuring holistic and consistent messaging strategy to drive strong business results, including, but not limited to social media, website, and CRM.
Measure, analyze, and optimize campaign effectiveness.
Oversee the development and implementation of email strategy to optimize current and prospect customer communications, driving response and conversion, including bi-weekly resort emails and email support of other resort businesses.
Oversee the creation and execution of Social Media strategy.
Work with Central Reservations to communicate and track campaigns.
Brand – responsibilities include ensuring brand and design guidelines are adhered to in all projects.
Budget –forecast, process invoices and work within the parameters set in the overall budget.
Act as liaison with Town of Frisco to collaborate on, maintain and build relationship for both town and resorts benefit.
Management of Email Marketing Supervisor, Social Media Coordinator, and Content Coordinators
Key success factors:
Ticket expertise – develop in-depth ticket, season pass, four pack knowledge to drive business needs
Lodging expertise – develop in-depth lodging knowledge to drive business needs
Campaign result tracking – ability to develop and monitor ROI on multiple campaigns across various marketing platforms and implement change in an efficient and effective manner
Competitive analysis - up-to-date knowledge of competitive initiatives within the ski industry and the travel and leisure industry, ensures external factors are considered and translated to meet Powdr objectives
Financial management – constantly monitor and reforecast to budget
Human resources management – develop, monitor, motivate, evaluate, discipline and reward direct reports
Relationship management – develop and maintain productive business relationships with marketing, sales, guest services, call centers, rev max team, agencies, vendors, the Enterprise team, and other resort businesses
Guest satisfaction – takes guest feedback and resort operations processes into consideration when creating all programs
Community – represents Copper on appropriate community boards, understand community initiatives and viewpoints and incorporates into the marketing plan where appropriate, present a favorable public image when representing Copper

Basic Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in resort marketing
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communications
Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
Experience in digital platforms including CRM/email programs and website management
Must have strong organizational and communication skills; ability to negotiate and persuade
Advanced skiing/riding experience
Strong decision making skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
Strong leadership skills, ability to develop and train subordinates, delegate responsibility, and take appropriate action
Excellent people and communication skills, including the ability to respond quickly in crisis situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays and long hours.
