Our Institutional Division delivers full-service-concepts for hotels, catering-services, restaurants, hospitals and building care in the field of industrial cleaning and hygiene technology. Ecolab Deutschland GmbH with its headquarter in Monheim am Rhein employs more than 1.600 people, about 950 of those act as sales professionals.

We are currently looking for a

Senior Marketing Manager (f/m/d) - Institutional Europe

based in Monheim am Rhein

Your responsibilities

Lead the marketing activities for a portfolio of products for the Foodservice Segment -  Restaurant and Contract Food Service customers

Successfully manage and develop the team

Work with key partners and stakeholders to develop a broad understanding of the European Foodservice market, competitive as well as customer insights and transferring that knowledge into actionable strategies (Both short and long term)

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree and more than 8 years of professional experience or master’s degree with 7-8 years of experience

Proven track record of leading innovation projects from discovery through commercialization

Self-driven and results oriented

Prior experience of Team Management and Team Development

Fluent English language skills, both in speaking and writing

Required competencies

MARKETING EXECUTIONAL EXCELLENCE (including but not limited to)

Ability to coach a team to collaborate cross-functionally & globally early in decision making & strategy development

Responsible for development & execution of long-term marketing strategies for business or smaller portfolios, based on insights

INNOVATION LEADERSHIP (including but not limited to)

Delivers on innovation goals/priorities for the business. Identifies & drives new platform development based on customer insights & broader innovation themes beyond core capabilities

Partners effectively with cross-functional teams to develop long-term business strategies & tactics

BRAND BUILDING AND ACTIVATION (including but not limited to)

Determines portfolio objectives and strategies to build brand with customers

Ensures portfolio is focused on serving and building brand with the right customers

Partners with Marketing Communications to create insight-based messaging that challenges the current status quo and leads the customer to the company’s unique solutions

 COMMUNICATION EFFECTIVENESS (including but not limited to)

Partners with Marketing Communications team to continuously elevate communications approaches

Coaches team to develop their expertise across segments/product lines.

Effective at presenting at all levels, including senior management

 PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT (including but not limited to)

Sets portfolio long-term strategy, goals & objectives that are linked to business activities

Makes sound budget, resource allocations & investment decisions based on portfolio analysis

DIGITAL STRATEGY EXPERTIESE (including but not limited to)

Leads innovation platform development & incorporates digital value into offerings.

Understands competitive landscape, informs strategy & resourcing on a platform level for digital tools. Creates the metrics & appropriate measurements to define success

TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP (including but not limited to)

Looks for potential disruption & translates that to strategic imperatives and partnering with cross-functional teams

Takes risks on ideas, leading change within organization to adopt big-bet innovation
