What You'll Do Do you have experience developing marketing strategies with compelling narratives in the retirement industry? The Retirement and Income Solutions Marketing team has an opening for a Senior Marketing Strategist to join our Thought Leadership team! The ideal candidate will be analytical and enjoy analyzing data to create well-reasoned thought capital using fresh ideas and insights. What you’ll do Lead and elevate the retirement thought leadership conversation using proprietary research, statistics, and data to identify topics, channels, and formats to reach target audiences. Evaluate and assess content for value and effectiveness. Analyze proprietary research, secondary sources, and block data to extrapolate themes, trends, challenges, and insights and connect to business priorities. Create relevant, compelling, and differentiated thought capital that resonates with target audiences and drives positive customer emotion and demand for our products/offerings. Communicate ideas effectively and influence internal and external stakeholders, including executives, business partners, and customers. Promote customer insights within the business unit and is an active contributor to the understanding and mapping of customer challenges and opportunities. Work across marketing teams, the enterprise, and with external agencies to activate and elevate retirement thought leadership. Track, analyze and communicate results. Use results analysis to improve future outcome. Who You Are Who you are Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 6+ years of retirement industry marketing experience Knowledge of modern marketing strategies Deep knowledge of the retirement plan industry and audiences Experience helping to build strategic marketing programs that deliver strong results Ability to translate data and analytics into compelling narratives Critical thinker and solution-oriented with the ability to break down complex problems Strong influence and informal leadership skills, with the ability to bring collaborators together to deliver a consistent message Preferred experience: General understanding of Principal business, products and industry along with understanding or experience with identified audience General understanding across the entire customer journey with Principal, as well as an understanding of the competition and market opportunities and customer experience Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors. Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $100800 - $135000 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
