Senior Material Coordinator

Position Summary

Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May work under general supervision to complete job requirements. A degree of creativity and latitude is required to effectively perform the job.

Essential Responsibilities

• Utilize ABC analysis to determine cycle count schedule.

• Work on Oracle to analyze data and adjust discrepancies

• Manage cycle function

• Analyze cycle count adjustments to develop root cause and countermeasures

• Perform some cycle counting

• Work with warehouse team to implement countermeasures

• Coordinate inventory management process with accounting

• Coordinate the cycle count and always execute inventory accuracy.

• Tracking/auditing cycle counts to ensure performed correctly and in a timely manner

• Execution of countermeasures to eliminate inventory errors

• Sets and maintains replenishment for parts

• Audits stock locations daily to ensure orders will arrive on time to meet production requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum education level of a High School Diploma is required.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Previous experience in Switchgear units is considered an asset.

• Ability to read a tape measure (including conversions from fraction to decimal and conversely from decimal to fraction and metric to imperial).

Preferred Qualifications

Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements

• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.

• Basic computer knowledge considered and asset.

• Prior ability or interest in building or repairing mechanical components considered an asset.

• Safety training certificates are an asset for the position.

• Forklift experience preferred

• Basic mechanical knowledge

• Knowledge of air tools

• Previous experience in an industrial or warehouse setting

Working & Environmental Conditions

Working Conditions

• Safety sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment with occasional outside activities.

• Required to always wear personnel protective equipment (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harnesses as required) and respirators when required.

• Must be able to work from all type of ladders (step ladders, "A" frame ladders and all size

extension ladders) and scaffolding.

• Working at heights usually no higher than 30 feet in the air or using proper lift equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs.

• Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any

direction in a repetitive manner continuously.

• Continuous standing, walking 50–300-foot distances for long periods of time with only occasional sitting.

• Must be able to climb stairs frequently throughout the shift.

• Able to frequently look over shoulders, work with both arms above shoulders and use both arms at full length frequently.

• Using upper extremities to apply or exert a force continuously up to 50lbs.

• Ability to use hand tools such as tin snips, hammer, and power tools (some vibrating), for long periods of time with frequent repetition.
