As a Chemical (Senior) Category Supplier Manager, you will be responsible for developing a category strategy for chemical material used for advanced packaging technology; such as wafer level package used for HBM. You will be conducting strategic sourcing initiatives, plan and implement negotiations using supplier and industry analysis, benchmark and cost management. Through management of the category strategy, you will also be building trusted partnerships with internal partners, driving best in class, cost, supply and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Category Management & Strategic Sourcing

Recommend resource levels across procurement sourcing categories, projects and functionsImplement processes to monitor partner satisfaction with key suppliersRecommend targets to improve value such as high revenue, spend reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services and supplier managementAnalyze sourcing trends and make recommendations for assigned categoriesParticipate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting

Cost Management & Analysis

Identify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue leversDrive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targetsProvide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal partnersApply should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace

Negotiation

Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etcLead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiationIncorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiationsDevelop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and create, negotiate, monitor and carry out contracted terms and conditions

Business Partnering

Collaborate with Partners to Deliver Strategic SolutionsDevelop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with key partnersDrive customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management or any related field of study5-10 years of experience in Engineering, Purchasing/Procurement/Sourcing, Supply Chain/Supplier Management. Experience in Semiconductor Material / Chemical management will be a strong, added advantage.Manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently, ability to work with minimal supervisionStrong discernment and highly dedicatedProficient in Microsoft applications, along with excellent digital literacyGood communication skills and the ability to be a persuasive advocateDemonstration of strong analytical skills, including spend analytics and market analysisComfort around Senior Leaders and Executives, ability to summarize sophisticated information into simple clear message and ability to build and deliver executive-level presentations
