Interested in joining us on our journey? Senior Materials Representative—Receiving Clerks are an integral part of the Materials Operations team and the overall material flow process. The Senior Material Representative will support assigned buildings in receiving inventory, verifying and reconciling for inventory accuracy, and providing direction to the dock drivers to consolidate parts, maintain processes, and report results. **Position** Senior Materials Control Representative -2nd Shift **Location** USA, Louisville, KY **How You'll Create Possibilities** + Receive inbound freight by validating the ASN with physical receipt quantity + Load necessary information into material management system, identify inaccuracies and escalate appropriately + Responsible for identification and reconciliation of all receiving variances using problem-solving skills + Conduct yard checks as necessary to ensure record accuracy of trailers on premises as reflected in Trackx + Audit pick locations to ensure parts are available and in location for the materials drivers to pick for assembly lines + Responsible for ensuring we are shipping the right returnable containers back to suppliers in a timely manner + Participates and is key contributor in annual physical inventory + Participate on AWOs and embrace lean manufacturing concepts in efforts to continuously improve materials work streams + Interact with materials departments to improve receiving process + Report metrics and maintain accurate records + Effectively communicate any issues that arise resulting in receiving discrepancies to key stakeholders + Support other receiving initiatives as they occur. + All other duties as assigned **What You'll Bring to Our Team** + 5 years of experience in Material flow, warehouse or manufacturing environment. + Demonstrated ability to work and lead collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment with both salaried and union hourly personnel to meet the needs of the operators, the program and the business. + Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks. + High level of initiative, energy and motivation to develop and grow in a team environment. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to facilitate team projects. + Strong problem-solving and follow-through ability. + Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment. + Work may involve lifting products up to 25 pounds. + Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots. **Our Culture** At GE Appliances, creativity meets passion and conversations lead to exceptional outcomes and experiences.
