The Sr. Materials Planner will be responsible for Material Requirements Planning systems for the manufacturing network. You will develop and maintain MRP systems, ensuring material supplies are available at manufacturing plants. You will also manage ingredients and materials ordering and planning, support production inventory levels, and drive continuous improvement in MRP systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to implement planning processes and align on materials activities.A Day in the Life...
Effectively collaborate with Procurement, Supply Planning, Product Development as well as outside vendors to ensure material requirements are met.Analyze demand against forecast/production plan. Proactively communicate changes in demand to vendors to avoid gaps in supply. Balance inventory levels and sourcing adjustments while operating within MOQ and lead-time requirements. Reconcile and maintain contract balances to ensure volume is pulled at the right price and quantity.Manage relationships with vendors by providing effective and fluid communication. Promptly resolve complaints and issues as they arise. Resource accounts payable for invoicing and resolve blocked invoicesAnalyze and develop critical planning parameters. Ensure necessary MRP parameters are set-up and maintained and Scheduling Agreement maintenance is current. Proactively communicate with plant teams any changes to lead times, rounding values, graphics updates, contracts, safety stock levels, and scheduling agreement effective dates. Support new product and cost savings initiatives. Participate in cross-functional project teams related to areas of responsibilities. Develop and improve work processes and procedures. Manage drawdown of materials to limit obsolescence while still ensuring production requirements are met.Execute Material Planning processes associated with co-pack/alliance start up and exit strategies. Work with Co-pack team to maintain inventory accuracy and help to support reconciliation activities.What We Are Looking For:
