Senior Mechanical Engineer

This is no ordinary engineering role – you'll be the mastermind behind groundbreaking designs, a technical leader who inspires innovation, and a strategic thinker who ensures our projects meet and exceed our client’s needs. **Projects Variety Examples:** + Solving dehumidification issues at an ice cream plant + Designing innovative clean rooms for pharmaceutical clients + Energy efficiency improvements for a hyperscale data center client + Redundancy challenges for mission critical clients + Designing office space and buildings for Fortune 500 companies. **Here's a Taste of What You'll Be Doing:** + Individuals in this position are responsible for planning, organizing, and performing detailed engineering design. + This position receives general administrative direction from the division manager and is responsible for the mechanical design of several projects of varying complexity. + Individual may support other engineers or project managers. + Research applicable industry standards, prepare engineering studies, analysis of systems, preliminary and detailed engineering designs. + Develop engineering specifications. + Review work of project design team, check progress of work and alert managers to change of scope and additional services. + Coordinate some aspects of project document completion. + Direct CAD designers and other engineers for the preparation of construction drawings. + Possess ability to interpret applicable codes. + Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to codes is required. + Coordinate project design with other engineering disciplines and clients. **You'll Be a Perfect Fit If You Have:** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in mechanical engineering or related engineering disciplines. + P.E. license preferred. + Eight (8) years of mechanical design experience helping to create construction documents for buildings and facilities projects. + Projects may include commercial, laboratory, industrial or health care. + Capable of providing field surveys in order to document existing building conditions. + Capable of performing cooling and heating load calculations. + Capable of performing ventilation calculations using the ventilation rate procedure (VRP). + Capable of performing COMcheck calculations, and energy modeling. + Capable of performing ductwork and piping pressure drop calculations, ductwork and piping layouts. + Capable of interpreting Building and Fire Codes, and/or working with code officials. + Capable of providing equipment selections, drawing and book specifications for all mechanical equipment which includes air devices, terminal units, chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, fans, packaged, custom, and modular air handing units, valves, insulation, expansion tanks, water heaters, grease interceptors and plumbing fixtures. + Capable of providing construction administration support for equipment noted above. + Capable of providing equipment details. + Capable of determining appropriate system types and providing advanced control sequences. **What TAI Offers:** + The opportunity to make a real impact on a variety of industry-leading projects. + The ability to balance your work and family activities. + Flexible work schedule + Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment that values creativity and innovation. + A chance to learn and grow alongside some of the brightest minds in engineering. **Compensation & Benefit Offerings:** + Base Salary range - $120,000 - $155,000 (based upon experience) + Additional Incentive Pay for overtime hours + Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable) + PTO and Paid Holidays + Health Benefits: Employee through family level coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurances.
