Posting Description
SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER, Facilities-Engineering and Energy Management, to provide mechanical engineering systems expertise and owner-driven technical guidance on campus mechanical systems including Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, processed heating and cooling, building management controls, energy conservation work, and owner driven administrative needs during project development, design and construction; work with and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and consultants for optimum project delivery; technically support and guide the Institutes energy conservation and decarbonization goals through collaboration with stakeholders within the campus services and stewardships groups. This includes interacting with academic professors and students on systems based sustainability goals; provide engineering leadership, coordination and technical guidance with the Utilities Division, including main utility services for building assets like chilled water systems, steam systems, medium temperature hot water systems, process cooling systems, energy transfer stations and metering; and provide technical assistance and collaboration to other engineers within the group with primary responsibility for electrical systems, fire alarm, and plumbing and fire protection systems.
