Job Overview
This role is designed to offer necessary administrative processes, technical expertise, and carry out the tasks listed. The responsibility of this position is to enhance our client's competitive edge in the global market by delivering unparalleled quality services and technical proficiency. Under broad supervision, execute and verify a variety of calculations and designs using both computer-assisted and manual methods. Offer support to the Lead Engineer when needed, in areas such as schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement activities, etc. Carry out some or all of the following: job organization/planning, specification writing/reviewing, schedule preparation/maintenance, estimate and manpower forecast development/monitoring, work assignment, collaboration with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities. Employ vendor data and collaborate with personnel from other disciplines as needed for design execution. Use/perform squad checks of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines. Travel as necessary to ensure the successful accomplishment of project and/or department objectives. Perform self-check of completed tasks.

Basic Job Prerequisites Engineering degree is mandatory  Professional registration and membership in an external technical society is desirable  An intermediate level engineer should have 4-8 years of experience  Combined background in mining projects, package engineering, hydraulics calculation or combination of mining and oil & gas EPCM experience Experience in home office mechanical engineering includes equipment specification, layout and design, equipment package management, hydraulic calculations, and review of vendor design documentation.  Capable of effective communication with various groups including but not limited to management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors  Ability to acquire and apply knowledge of relevant local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines  Professional registration  Advanced understanding of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials  Hands-on field experience  Intermediate skills in computer and software including the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs Ability to pay attention to detail and work in a time-sensitive and efficient manner
