The role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be working within an exciting, highly regulated and a technically challenging environment managing a varied and diverse workload. This role also offers exceptional career opportunities within a unique, high-investment business sector.
Day-to-day, you’ll perform the role of a nominated supervisor under the relevant safety rules.
Set the team to work under a safety document to ensure that everything is appropriately controlled. Conduct face to face with team members to confirm fit for duty. Carry out setting to work of relevant working party. Enforce standards and expectations regarding safety and quality.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Heysham, Lancashire. The working schedule for this role is Monday to Thursday. You will work 10 hours per day from Monday to Wednesday, and 7 hours on Thursday.
Essential experience of the Senior Mechanical Engineer:
Experience within a Mechanical Engineering role Ideally from the Nuclear Generation industry or from a highly regulated industry
Qualifications for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:
Mechanical Engineering Degree or sufficient time served GCSE Maths and English
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
