Your Mission
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Engineering Team, pushing boundaries to create innovative mechanical components and technology for aviation lighting solutions. In this role, you’ll:
+ Invent and Innovate: Lead the design, development, and documentation of groundbreaking products that meet rigorous functional, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety standards.
+ Drive Excellence: Tackle complex design challenges with sound engineering principles, ensuring every project aligns with business standards and program requirements.
+ Own Your Data: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support your projects, adhering to our engineering policies and practices.
+ Advance the Craft: Identify and implement cutting-edge tools, methods, and processes to enhance quality, reliability, and productivity across the department.
+ Solve Complex Problems: Leverage advanced techniques and extend engineering theories to deliver innovative solutions to challenging technical problems.
+ Elevate Quality: Detect and resolve defects using precise engineering tools and methodologies, ensuring products exceed expectations.
What You Bring to the Table
We’re looking for a seasoned, hands-on mechanical engineer with a passion for excellence and innovation. Key qualifications include:
Skills & Expertise:
+ Proven communication skills for engaging with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
+ Proficiency in ANSYS, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or SolidEdge.
+ Experience with structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis.
+ A solid understanding of total quality, lean manufacturing, and design for manufacturability.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required, including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education & Experience:
+ A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
+ At least 8 years of mechanical design experience.
+ Prior experience with LED lighting, RTCA DO-160 standards, electro-mechanical drivetrains and motors, and materials like machined components, sheet metal, and injection molding is preferred.
