Essential Functions:
Design, build, and test electromechanical systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and performance metricsConsider market feedback from surgeons and other customers to determine functional and design specifications for new product development and continuous improvementsManage all aspects of assigned projects to ensure timely completion of tasks while remaining in full compliance with Globus' quality system and other applicable regulatory bodiesSupport the creation of product requirements, specifications, and test documentsSupport the development of manufacturing test fixtures and documentationSupport design verification and validation activities to ensure designs meet specificationsDefine and implement inspection procedures for incoming parts, as needed.Advise product introductions through sales training materials, customer calls/visits, etc.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societiesWork independently as well as on small teams using agile methodologiesMentor junior engineersRecommend and champion improvements to products and processesCollaborate with a team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to integrate system hardware and firmware into market-ready medical device productsContribute to the growth of Globus Medical’s dominant intellectual property portfolioMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of mechanical engineering experienceor
Master’s degree with 3 years of mechanical engineering experienceExperience with SolidWorksFamiliar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.Experience in Medical Device fieldAbility to work independently and as a key contributor in small teamsAbility to mentor junior engineersExcellent oral, written, and graphical communication skillsWorking knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and E-mailAbility to travel up to 5% of the time.Ability to attend surgeries and/or labs.
