ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight roster, DIDO to our Boddington Bauxite Mine located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).

 

This role reports into the Superintendent A&I, as the Senior Mechanical Engineer your role is to develop, deploy and continuously improve maintenance work management strategies for the Mobile Equipment Fleet by providing specialised A&I support and expertise.  Ensure the effectiveness of work strategies and work plans whilst meeting legislative and statutory requirements.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the development of equipment maintenance strategies and create safe, effective work plans for the Mines Mobile Equipment Fleet. Manage and mentor a team of mechanical specialists, boosting their technical expertise and promoting best practices. Oversee Safety Critical Equipment compliance, ensuring adherence to inspection and repair schedules using SAP. Drive quality control and continually enhance the technical knowledge of your team.

ABOUT YOU

You’re a seasoned engineer with:

A strong focus on field safety leadership and a proven track record in driving performance. Expertise in Mobile Equipment Maintenance & Reliability within mining. Experience in engineering design and change management, particularly in a brownfield environment. A Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent) and the ability to manage engineering budgets and schedules.
