(Senior) Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, development, and testing of mechanical and mechatronic functions and modules for liquid handling and robotics solutions. You will analyze requirements and develop various solution approaches that meet cost and system integration demands. Your role involves creating solutions that are reliable, easy to produce, test, and maintain, while minimizing unnecessary adjustments throughout the production and service lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities
 

Analyze requirements and develop solution approaches for mechanical and mechatronic functions, considering constraints and costs. Evaluate solutions based on current technologies and design standards to optimally meet requirements. Conduct feasibility studies and develop reliable, testable, and maintenance-friendly solutions. Ensure development documentation according to Tecan guidelines and support test planning for development and production processes. Assist in conducting tests to verify requirement fulfillment, focusing on early detection of weaknesses through stress testing. Address inquiries from production, customer support, and product management while adhering to Tecan guidelines.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience in developing mechanical and mechatronic solutions, with a focus on liquid handling and robotics. Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate solutions in terms of current technologies and design standards. Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with Tecan guidelines. Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of contributing to multidisciplinary collaboration. Commitment to personal development and continuous improvement of work methods.
