At Shambaugh, we recognize people as our most important resource and it is our mission to produce the industry’s highest level of quality services and productivity on every project in order to develop repeat customers, maximize return on investment, and provide professional growth opportunities for people in the organization. **Job Summary** Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical systems for the Food Process, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Education, Commercial, and Health Care industries. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Responsible for engineering and designing all the mechanical building utility systems including but not limited to: + Steam, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, medical gasses and plumbing + Keep up to date with all applicable code requirements and the design-build process + Participate in client and project team meetings and bring creative solutions + Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures + Responsible for project schedules and completion of projects on time and within budget + Guide and mentor engineers and other staff + Proactively work to achieve company goals, including productivity and safety + Other duties assigned **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering + 10+ years of designing Mechanical building systems + Must be familiar with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, fans, air handling units, etc. + Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus + Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel + Autodesk AutoCAD 2018 proficiency is a plus + Ability to travel a needed + Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required **Notice to prospective employees:  There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.  EMCOR Group and its companies** list open positions here.
