Work closely with the Construction Manager, Superintendents, Foremen, Project Coordinators, and Estimators to optimize assigned projects.Create and manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements with vendors.Lead preparation of estimates for change notices on secured projects.Coordinate the delivery of materials to project sites, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to project schedules.Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms for materials and services.Resolve any procurement-related issues or discrepancies that may arise during the project lifecycle.Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including costs, deliveries, and vendor performance.Provide technical assistance and mentoring to staff as required.Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical project management in the construction industry.Successful completion of a post-secondary Mechanical Engineering program or equivalent.Well-organized with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deliverables and customer expectations.Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to find solutions and incorporate them into existing practices as needed.Proficient in both oral and written English communication. Able to follow verbal and written instructions and complete required paperwork accurately.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Able to work both independently and as part of a team.Experience with Procore and Accubid Enterprise is preferred.Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
