Summary:
The SrMechanicalSustaining Engineer willfocus on reliability improvements and cost reduction opportunities for Covaris Focused-ultrasonicatorproduct lines and accessories.The individual should have 5+ years of Sustaining Engineering experience and manufacturing support of complex electromechanical systems within an ISO or FDA regulated organization.
Essential Responsibilities:The employee may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential responsibilities as determined by business necessity.
Apply Design for Excellence (DFx) principles to enhance productreliability, and cost-effectiveness
Demonstrates a strong motivation to achieve goals and exceed expectations
Works both independently and collaboratively to drive a project through to completion
Working knowledge of GD&T to produce dimensional drawings and CAD files within SolidWorks
Perform robust root cause analysis including report writing
Author Change Orders within an eQMS
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in MechanicalEngineering
5+ years of mechanical design or sustaining engineering experience in aregulated industry; medical device experience is helpful
Desired Qualifications:
Experience utilizing SolidWorks and PDM for design
Knowledge of QSR and ISO regulations is a plus
Good written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Works well in a team, proactive, thrives in fast moving environment
