Sentara Community Care Center - Chestnut is now hiring a Full-Time Senior Medical Assistant to assist in our Clinic in Newport News, VA!

**ALL QUALIFED CANDIDATES WILL RECEIVE A $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS**

Hours: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

As a Medical Assistant with Sentara, you will work directly with a doctor conducting phlebotomy (lab), clinical and clerical duties. This position's primary responsibilities include bringing the patients into rooms, taking vitals, verifying patient information, and preparing them for the doctor. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.

Qualifications:

Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant5 years of Patient Care experienceHigh School or equivalent

Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated or assigned by and/or under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Perform administrative duties, as appropriate. Medication Administration (certification/training) is preferred.
