This Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist candidate will perform laboratory tests and procedures within scope of education, credentialing, experience. Demonstrates all necessary qualifications in compliance with CLIA ‘88 to perform high complexity testing and assume the responsibilities of CLIA ‘88 Testing Personnel in one or more areas of the Laboratory: Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, and Support. Responsibilities · Perform testing in the clinical laboratories (any complexity) and responsible for the daily oversight of the Laboratory. · Perform, review, and advise advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem resolution. · Demonstrate strong decision-making and multi-tasking skills, work independently, and the ability to lead and participate in teaching/training activities in the laboratory. Work as an effective team member as demonstrated by good relations with physicians, clinic staff, and co-workers. Requirements + Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field or laboratory training with certification requirements + Three Years laboratory experience preferred + Chemistry experience required + Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by The Registry Board of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) preferred Or certification by HEW preferred We offer the?largest network of primary care physicians in the county,?as well as two hospitals to?serve your needs, from?delivering babies to open-heart surgery.
