Senior Medicare Sales Representative
Overview

Establishes new and maintaining existing relationships with key community organizations and leaders, including but not limited to Community Based Organizations (CBO’s), FBO’s, political leaders, advocacy groups, and the provider community. Educates consumers in the communities served by VNSNY about MAP, MAPD or DSNP products and the benefits of enrolling in these VNSNY CHOICE products. Achieves monthly enrollment requirements and attends and conducts presentations during weekly events. Takes lead role at community events, reports back to department leadership regarding issues or concerns and disseminates response to colleagues. Works under general supervision.


Responsibilities
Develops effective working relationships with the leadership and/or staff of key referral sources such as CBOs, the provider community, religious organizations and other appropriate channels to grow membership.Achieves monthly and annual membership goals.Performs all duties within CMS guidelines, following all rules and regulations and stays up to date on all new marketing policies.Provides direct consumer education about VNSNY MAP, MAPD, or DNSP products.Performs retention efforts developed by department leadership to reduce member turnover.Develops plans and executes health fairs and presentations to key community organizations.Initiates projects with department leadership to generate leads, build brand awareness and enroll new members.Travels between numerous referral sources to promote VNSNY’s MAP, MAPD, or DNSP products.   Maintains awareness of field sales operations and competitor climate.  Provides feedback and highlights potential problems or issues to management.Assists management with deployment of Sales RVs (Recreational Vehicles) and suggests potentially successful locations.Participates in special projects and performs other job duties as required.
Qualifications

Licensure:  NYS Accident and Health Insureance License required. Valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle or ability to travel through all five boroughs preferred .

Education:   High School diploma required.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 

Experience:   Minimum four years of managed Medicare and/or Medicaid sales required.  Experience marketing to a culturally diverse target population required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak in front of large groups required.  Strong organizational skills required.  Existing relationships with key potential referrers required.  Proven, demonstrated success in reaching assigned program targets required.  Bi-lingual skills preferred.
