JOB PURPOSE:
The Senior Merchandiser will serve as the key liaison for communication and interaction with our Brands and Vendors. Operate as the vendor-specific contact for planning and managing business with WSI’s Sourcing & Product Development Team. Directly responsible for managing development progress in related vendors. Tracking seasonal new developments until 1st production is shipped. Work together with Furniture Engineers and QA to make sure samples are ready as planned & according to standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Act as primary point of contact for product development for specific vendors. Establish a business and technical rapport with vendors. Collaborate with Engineers, QA (Quality Assurance), SCO (Supply Chain Optimization) and Testing/Lab on new developments for vendors. Translate specs and target cost to meet vendor capabilities. Analyze costing and present viable options to Product Development manager. Manage and monitor brands’ calendar and create specific timeline. Managing vendor visits and provide updated reports. Following up on outstanding issue with vendors and brands. Update Product Development database distribute weekly Product Development log, newness report and other additional report when necessary. Managing on time sample delivery. Other duties as and when assigned.JOB HOLDER’S COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:
5+ years sourcing/merchandising experience, especially at furniture/ decorative accessories/ tabletop. Ability to collaborate with the team as well as work independently and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Strong follow up skills, sense of ownership and attention to details. Effectively manage and communicate with stakeholders from different time zones and provide timely response. Professional proficiency at written, communication and presentation in both English and Indonesian. Adaptable at working in a fast-paced environment with 4 seasonal calendars that overlaps one another. Able to deliver results by influencing internal and external partners. Ability to represent WSI standards and expectations. Expert on Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
