The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a **Senior Military Fixed Wing Flight Test Manager** to join our team in **Berkeley, MO** to support multi-program test activities (e.g., F/A-18, F-15, MQ-25, T-7A). This role will be responsible for test program planning, instrumentation program planning, test article configuration management, on-aircraft ground testing, test readiness reviews, Flight Test Mission Assurance Readiness Reviews (FTMARR), flight testing, day-to-day coordination of remote site test activities, capital project planning, facility planning, flight test capability planning, instrumentation capability planning, and issues resolution within a flight test program. Candidates must have a working knowledge of all aspects of an aircraft flight test program.
The selected candidate will need to have excellent leadership, team building, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction and a focus on safety. They must be comfortable at coordinating with people from various technical disciplines in St. Louis and remote sites.
**Position Responsibilities Include:**
+ Manage employees and first and mid-level managers performing flight test engineering and technical activities for flight test operations in St. Louis and when deployed at remote sites
+ Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
+ Develop and manage the BT&E Military Fixed Wing flight test enterprise capability strategy which includes affordability, asset and capacity management, work placement, best practices, common processes, tools, skills management, and functional excellence
+ Maintain program situational awareness and respond to BT&E Flight Test issues and events including independent reviews, requests for help, and root cause-corrective action solutions across the enterprise
+ Leverage cross-capability integration of similar capabilities across BT&E and Boeing
+ Support Test Program Managers with BT&E Military Fixed Wing resources to accomplish Air Dominance programs
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
+ 5+ years of experience leading or managing diverse Engineering Test teams and associated Engineering Test activities
+ 5+ years of experience with Test Program design, test procedure development, and test execution
+ 5+ years of experience developing financial Investment plans including capital, repair & maintenance and/or special project funding
+ Experience with aircraft instrumentation systems, data systems design and acquisition
+ Experience in military aircraft test operations, flight test engineering operations and/or flight test maintenance operations
+ Experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
+ Able to travel 10% of the time
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ 5+ years of experience with test readiness and test safety processes
+ Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) or experience creating estimates
+ Experience with Program Management Best Practices including Requirements Management; Earned Value Management; and Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management
+ Experience with MIL-HDBK-516 and implementing military airworthiness processes
+ Experience with the Flight Test Safety Risk Management process per MIL-STD-882, DCMA INST 8210. 1, FAA Order 4040.26, or equivalent
+ Experience supporting and executing flight testing at USA, with USAF and/or USN major ranges and test facilities
+ Experience with incorporation of telemetry and data systems on aircraft associated with flight test programs
+ Experience leading a flight test project or program
+ Experience conducting test flights as a Test Conductor and/or Test Director

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $165,750 – $224,250
