Role Details

Reporting to the Unit Manager: Technical Services you will be responsible for contributing to achieving production and development targets of underground and open pit operations through providing a comprehensive survey control service that meets internal survey and environmental health and safety standards.

This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth, or residential in the Kalgoorlie/Kambalda area.

About the role:

Enhance the capability of the company to consistently achieve mining production and development targets in alignment with legislative requirements. The incumbent should accomplish this by diligently applying and imparting knowledge and skills to less experienced personnel, to deliver a comprehensive survey control service

Have the capacity to develop and maintain a professional, results-orientated approach to work performed to achieve and exceed targets by partnering with line managers and technical groups across the business.

Help guide and manage you and your team of Surveyors’ professional development including guidance and leadership of the business’s graduate program’s participants.

Contribute to company and statutory compliance obligations through the generation of quality reports via the input of physicals regularly as directed and required.

Assist in the goal of ensuring minimal disruption to mining with the timely preparation and distribution of mining-related instructions to appropriate mining personnel and business partners.

Ensure that production and development targets are achieved through accurate survey work by applying due diligence and ensuring the care, calibration and maintenance of survey equipment

Ensure that activities of the survey team are consistently aligned with meeting operational targets by conducting regular inspections and audits of survey work specifically checking compliance of established standards and procedures in relation to legislative requirements

 

About you:

Authorised Mine Surveyors Certificate Grade 1

A degree or Advanced Diploma in Mine Surveying is required

Extensive experience in underground mine surveying, and additional open pit experience is desirable

High proficiency in CAD software, Deswik experience is desirable

Valid (Manual) Driver’s License
