Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Model Risk Analyst to join our Model Risk Management team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to maintain the accuracy and integrity of MRM’s Model Inventory and interact with various stakeholders (including model developers and the validation team in Model Risk Management).

Key Responsibilities:

Understand model validation lifecycle and its relation to Model Inventory records, including submission, validation stages, report issuance, record updates, and post-validation trackingCollaborate with Directors to maintain relevant and accurate information in the Model Inventory, including data quality reviews and status updatesConduct quarterly data quality review of model inventory and weekly review of validation project status, interacting with model validatorsFamiliarize with RSA Archer Model Risk Management tool, provide support to users, and document new processes and improvementsCommunicate effectively with stakeholders, participate in ad-hoc projects, and support ongoing improvements to the model inventory

Qualifications:

Education:   Bachelor's Degree holders are welcome to apply | University degree in any discipline related to Finance, Business, Economics or any related course (e.g. Statistics)Experience: At least 3-4 Years of Financial Risk Management/Model Risk Management experienceHybrid Work Arrangement: 3 days per week on site, 2 days per week Work From HomeMinimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:Exposure to modeling and/or risk managementExcellent analytic, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across ManulifeInterest or experience in database management, querying databases, and development of database-related toolsNice to Have Skills or Preferred Skills: Programming experience in VBA, SQL; RSA Archer knowledge is a plus
