Senior Mortgage Construction Analyst
Overview This position ensures all systems, programs, documents, and other related construction and renovations requirements are met. Assists with the development and execution of training on construction and renovation products. Serves as a resource to the construction department to assist with builder approvals, inspections, draws, and construction modifications. This position is responsible for: *Being available for conference calls with CP Loan Admins, borrowers/builders as a resource to the construction team *Preparing all Welcome & Draw Packages and Budgets in BUILT for new loans *Budget Adjustments when issues arise during the construction process *Variance review, preparation and approval *Submissions to Fannie Mae to clear Homestyle recourse *Homestyle Monthly RECON *Contract Review, Builder Acceptance Review, Appraisal Review and Project Approval *Borrower/Builder disputes- new builder resolution and setup to proceed *Extension preparation and processing *Daily Review all Draw Packages and approval in appropriate systems, EAS and Wire funding *WEALTH Portfolio Admin (Miranda) *Encompass Pipeline Reviews *Review queue items for review and approval of exceptions Responsibilities Operational Support - Provides support for business unit by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve standard practices. Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements. Ensures all contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors are paid. Reviews requests for any variances to policy and obtains written approval from the appropriate parties. Analysis - Analyzes contracts and appraisals for completeness, and to resolve any questionable contract issues prior to closing. Reconciles outstanding loans in the servicing systems to ensure proper set up and posting of loan balances. Provides monthly construction department volume reports based on analysis results. Coordination - Monitors the completion of projects and communicates with customers regarding delays. Works closely with borrowers and builders to ensure minimal risk to the bank and that all homes are completed as planned. Business Support - Determines overall business needs through analysis and reporting. May assist with identifying strategies to achieve department goals, and assist in creating specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation to communicate business initiatives to wider work group. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Mortgage Lending, Accounting, and/or Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in Mortgage Lending, Accounting, or Analytics Preferred Skill(s): General construction and mathematical aptitude, Knowledge of BUILT, Encompass, EAS, Commercial Advantage, Peoplesoft, Understanding of the construction draw process, Ability to make sound business decisions within given authority First Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life.
