The Senior National Account Manager -  Drug Wholesale will lead 3rd party sales team overseeing Drug Wholesale, Independent Drug and Contract Businesses (GPO).  The Senior National Account Manager - Drug Wholesale will lead and develop joint business plans for Opella’s valued customers in conjunction with their agency/broker partners. The manager will proactively lead sales and promotional planning, forecasting, trade spend management, profitability, and analysis. Will maximize results and be proficient in analytics, category insights, building relationships with key individuals, and overall customer operations.  Will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in logistics, finance,e, and marketing to fully own the customer and region results—Independent Drug and Contract Businesses (GPO). 

Main responsibilities:

Leads agency business partners and customers in joint business planning to deliver sales, spending, and profitability targets.Manages relationships with agency partners, and ensures all representatives are educated on brand objectives and trade strategies to represent the sales of Opella’s products to the customer(s).Manages and monitors goal setting, scorecarding, and tracking of performance to ensure consistent attainment of goals Continually coaches, educates, and motivates agency team members to represent Opella as an extension of the core team.Leverage fact-based category and brand analysis to drive sales and share growth.Continually adjust and think creatively to advance Opella’s market position.Conduct category reviews utilizing thought leadership from sources including, but not limited to, loyalty data, syndicated data, spins data, shopper trends, and promotional analysis of Sanofi brands and its competitors.Work closely with Sales Strategy and Supply Chain to ensure the needs of your customers are clearly communicated and factored into annual plans.Leads & develops best-in-class contracting processes with GPO’sLeads & develops best-in-class formulary bid processDevelop and lead accurate monthly forecasts to drive supply chain efficiencies and sales expectations. Proactively identify risks and opportunities.Sell in innovation and partner with customers to ensure the best product mix for each assigned retailer/customer/Institution.Employs leadership principles and entrepreneurial spirit to ‘own’ the business within assigned territory

About you Experience: Minimum 5–7 years experience in Consumer Health/Pharmaceutical industriesEducation: Bachelor’s or Master's degree from an accredited four-year college or universityBroker management and/or leadership experience. Preference given to those who have called on/worked with McKesson, Amerisource, and/or Cardinal DrugExperience in negotiating GPO, Hospital contracts, Long-term facilities contracts, and formularies Ability to influence internally to build & develop capabilities and expertise to be successful in the healthcare environment with consumer health productsStrong negotiation skillsStrong business and financial acumen – the ability to track, plan, and evaluate volume, spending, and overall financial metrics for assigned accounts and territoryAbility to present with confidence and convey ideas simply and persuasivelyStrong attention to detailAbility to creatively problem solve and be solutions-orientedAbility to work cross-functionally within a matrix organization to achieve objectivesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as trade management systemStrong verbal and written communication skills

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000 USD Annually. In addition to sales incentive (role may my eligible for long term incentive depending on level and performance); all compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. This position is eligible for a company car through the Company’s FLEET program.
