Tasks – Activities – Responsibilities
Ensure implementation of the Company’s Quality Policies, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies, Procedures and Quality Plans is to comply. Ensure that Project Quality specially NDE to be implemented and complied with Specification, Project Quality Plan, Procedure and National Regulation as well. As a member of QA/QC Team and report directly to QA/QC manager, QA/QC Lead and Chief Inspector as well. Participate in review and approve Contractor/Vendor’s NDE Procedure, NDE Plan/Program, NDE equipment calibration program as well monitor/witness qualification activities such as Personnel Mock-up Test and/or Production Qualification Testing. Overall supervision and ensure that, all NDE activities include but not limit to material/equipment inspection, structure/piping/pipeline as well as assembly, welding, dimension, painting of onshore fabrication, Load-out & Sea-fastening and offshore installation include HUC campaign to be complied with latest AFC drawing, approved WPS/PQRs, approved procedure and Specification. Monitor, Witness Contractor/Subcontractor in Sets up equipment and initial instrument settings in accordance with approved procedure, specification and applicable code/standards and Support provide as well. Provide advice and recommendation to PMT regarding the NDE technique, NDE personnel, modern NDE equipment., etc. Collaborate with other team members, Contractor/Vendor to troubleshoot problems and identify solutions. Interface, Communicate and Maintain close liaison with other Project Disciplines, Contractor, Vendor, Third Party for all relevant NDE technique and activities. Participate in the issue of Site Issue and Non-conformance Report include Disposition or Corrective Action and Preventive Action. Maintains good relationships with Contractor and Vendor but being strict to achieve the Project objectives. Prepare and issue Weekly & Monthly Report to QA/QC Manager as required. Perform other duties that are assigned by QA/QC Manager, QA/QC Lead and Chief Inspector as well.PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
Must hold a degree of Engineer in Mechanical, Science and Technology or Equivalent. Hold Valid Certificates: Min of ISO 9712 Level 2 (UT, RI, MT, PT), PCN/CSWIP Level 2 (UT, RI, MT, PT) and/or Level 3 of ISO 9712, ASNT, PCN. Hold Certificates: PAUT and/or AUT are preferred and CSWIP/AWS, NACE, PROSIO are Advantage.Experience:
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional working experience in the oil and gas industry, of which ten (10) years of experience relevant to the role and responsibilities such as NDE Specialist, Snr. NDE Inspector or Equivalent. Involved in at least five (05) WHP/CPP/LQP include Infield Pipelines during Detail Engineering, Vendor/Supplier, Fabrication, Testing, Installation and Pre-commissioning for both Contractors and Clients.Specific Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of precision measuring NDT equipment, NDT Consumable, NDE Personnel training, NDT Technique., Sound knowledge in both Conventional and Advanced NDT techniques. Sound knowledge in and Conversant with International Codes and Standards such as AWS, ASME, BS EN, API, ASTM, DNV, NACE, ISO., etc. Good sense of team spirit leadership, coordination and communication skills in multi-cultural environment. Good computer skills (PDF, Word, Excel, Power Point) Good command in English (writing, listening and speaking)
