The Senior Network Engineer will be working in an energetic and fast-paced environment while developing, implementing, and supporting a sophisticated backbone. To be successful in this role, the applicant being sought after is required to possess extensive experience in engineering and operations of very large-scale enterprise/service provider networks.DescriptionDescriptionApple is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their Global Network Services (GNS) team. The ideal candidate to fill the position will work in a dynamic team environment and be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the global infrastructure. In this role you will carry out regular network maintenances to migrate, upgrade and augment the infrastructure that supports both, internal and external customers. You will also be encouraged to occasionally participate in network designs, defining and development of toolings and automations to enable large-scale deployment and operations. The candidate will collaborate with vendors on bug fixes and new features, while liaising with peers in Operations/Engineering and Architecture to ensure alignment of technical requirements. The candidate will need to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to multi-task and provide not only operational support for the Backbone, but must also work closely with multiple cross functional teams to resolve critical network incidents. The candidate engineer will need to obsess over the customer experience and drive operational excellence in their everyday work habits through strong technical leadership and mentorship. You will be required to participate in global on-call rotations and regularly need to attend early morning or late-night global collaboration meetings. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
