GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Network Engineer to support the U.S. Mint. This position will be in Washington, DC and will be a hybrid remote position. 

Responsibilities Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers, with data network hardware and software including but not limited to Cisco Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Thousand Eyes, DNAC (Cisco DNA Center), Stealthwatch (Cisco Secure Analytics), Identity Service Engine (ISE).Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design conceptsInstalls all new hardware, systems, and software for networksDesigns, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devicesGenerates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test proceduresMonitors system performance and implements performance tuningReviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements Qualifications

Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)

 

Required Skills and experience

15 years of network engineering experience Practical skills, experience and training designing, configuring, upgrading, deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, data network hardware and software including but not limited to Cisco Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Thousand Eyes, DNAC (Cisco DNA Center), Stealthwatch (Cisco Secure Analytics), Identity Service Engine (ISE).CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) certification

Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire US Mint/ Department of Treasury Public Trust  

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree Info Systems/Relevant Field - Preferred.CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) certificationITIL 4+ Foundation Certification Company Overview

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
