Job Description Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled professional with expert-level command of the Splunk query language for advanced data analytics, custom alerts, and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of web hosting stacks (SaaS, PaaS, cloud workloads, traditional three-tier web hosting) and the ability to analyze logs and telemetry to infer web application attack techniques. They should quickly learn new data sets, decipher data fields in logs, and have an advanced understanding of the cyber threat landscape and attack vectors. Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework, major operating systems, networking protocols, systems administration, and security technologies is essential. The role requires the ability to author technical documentation, perform quality assurance reviews, and execute autonomously. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills are necessary, along with the ability to interact with non-technical contacts, assess technical impact and risk, and communicate effectively. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also required. This is a contract to potential hire position starting at $50/hr. Capable of deciphering data fields in logs by referencing vendor documentation, independent research, and experimentation. Thorough understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and its practical applications.
