What You Will Do:

Network Segmentation & Security:

Develop and implement detailed network and application segmentation strategies to align with security best practices and regulatory compliance. Design and configure VLANs, subnets, and access control lists (ACLs) to enforce granular segmentation policies. Implement and manage micro-segmentation solutions to protect sensitive data and critical applications. Optimize firewall rules and policies in collaboration with the Firewall Team to strengthen network defenses.

Infrastructure & Risk Management:

Utilize in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, IOS, multiple routing protocols, wireless protocols (LWAPP), VPN, perimeter security, and Layer 3 content switching to support robust segmentation. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and potential security breaches. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate segmentation gaps.

Access Control & Collaboration:

Manage and enforce access controls within network and application segments, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege. Work closely with Network Infrastructure, Server Services, Firewall Team, and IT Security to define and implement segmentation requirements. Document network segmentation designs, configurations, and procedures for ongoing support and reference.

What You Bring to the Team:

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma. Experience: Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience. Certifications: CCNA required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field. Experience: 7-10 years of IT experience, preferably in a healthcare or enterprise environment. Certifications: CCNP or other equivalent senior-level certifications.
