OverviewSummary
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability of our customers’ data and voice networks, as well as deploying advanced network solutions to our customers. This role focuses on Day 2 operations; maintaining, patching, and updating network security solutions to achieve our customer's business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Palo Alto Networks products, including Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, and Panorama, and a proven track record of success in maintaining and optimizing complex network security solutions. Experience with other industry-leading vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper are also highly desired.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
Maintains and optimizes Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including firewalls, Next Gen Security for NGFW, Panorama, Strata Cloud, SD-WAN, Prisma Cloud, and SASEImplements patching and updates to Palo Alto Networks productsTroubleshoots and resolves complex network security issues within existing customer environments.Works with other engineers to ensure the ongoing stability and security of customer networksDevelops and maintains comprehensive documentation reflecting the current state of customer environmentsStays up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilitiesProvides Tier 3 support to the NOC and internal teamsParticipates in on-call rotationAssists with the integration and management of Palo Alto Networks security solutions with other security technologiesProvides guidance and training to junior team members on Palo Alto Networks products and best practices QualificationsRequired Qualifications
10+ years of network administration5+ years in a network security engineer role3+ years of experience working with Palo Alto Networks products, including Prisma Cloud, and SASEPCNSE/SSE certificationExpert- level understanding of network concepts and protocols, including SD-WAN technologiesExperience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper firewalls is a plusExperience with routing and switching technologies from Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Aruba, and Ciena is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving skills.Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE or SSE)

Pay Range
$100,000 - $150,000
Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
