This is a Hybrid role based out of our office in Loveland, Colorado. The Target Pay Range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer works directly with the Manager, IT Operations, in co-administering enterprise information systems such as Active Directory Infrastructure, Office365 tenant and users, Azure environment, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Hyper-V environment, Storage Area Network (SAN), data Backup and Disaster Recovery (BUDR), and more. The Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer oversees, manages, and supports the Network and Systems Engineer(s), in their day-to-day tasks.
Sets up, configures, maintains, and supports internal and/or external networks and network infrastructure. Develops, maintains, and enhances all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. This includes overseeing all servers, firewalls, routers, switches, and other equipment. Troubleshoots network performance issues, maximizes infrastructure uptime, and maintains a disaster recovery plan according to best practices and in accord with approved policies.
Recommend and implement LAN policies and standards, demonstrate initiative in evaluating latest trends in network management, system hardware, and technologies for application to the company business environment. Provide resolutions to advanced technical issues originating from the Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, and Antech Desktop Support Team as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Infrastructure: 80% of position responsibility
Maintain a strong and effective network and system security posture with a focus on PCI and SOX compliancy standards and assign permissions to network resources as directed, documented and approved by management. Install, configure, and monitor servers, storage appliances, and network hardware in accordance with best practices for network administration.Ability to design, upgrade, troubleshoot, and manage an Identity Management environment using Active Directory and Group Policy.Maintain Microsoft Hyper-V High Availability Virtual Server environment, troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure minimum downtime.Maintain Nutanix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment, troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure minimum downtime.Troubleshoot and support IT infrastructure – LAN/WAN Networking, TCP/IP, eVPL/MPLS/DS3, DNS/DHCP, IIS, LDAP, SSL/VPN, firewall, router and switch configurations, Wi-Fi 8012.11x, VoIP/FoIP.Serve as system administrator for the corporate Exchange 2016/O365 Hybrid email environment, troubleshoot and resolve mail flow issues as needed.Monitor all servers, applications, and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability and adherence to service level expectations. Coordinate the utilization of existing equipment to optimize efficient and effective use and proactively schedule and perform preventive maintenance and updates for hardware and software.Maintain backup/recover hardware and software to ensure backup of corporate data is in accordance with the corporate data security plan and provide recovery services as needed.Keep Supervisor fully apprised of all mission critical events, maintenance and problems as well as documenting any event adversely impacting the conduct of the business.Installs new software releases, firmware updates, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.Analyze and resolve problems on a local level in an accurate, responsive and timely manner. Provide on call response to all mission critical network issues.Desktop Support: 15% of position responsibility
Provide support to end users that is beyond the level of the IT Productivity and Resource Center technicians.Communicate with employees and obtain all required information necessary to determine and address their specific needs. Respond to customers in the manner and timeframe promised or follows up to explain status.Develop and deliver new hire training as directed. Assist with Help Desk phone calls.Treat employees with respect, courtesy, and tact.Other duties as assigned: 5% of position responsibility
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Formal Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, a minimum of two years of experience as a network/systems administrator.Non-Degreed Education - Four years of progressive experience in systems administration, networking, servers, system operations, storage area networks, virtual environments, and backend operations.Minimum of two years’ experience with:Windows Server productsNetwork protocols and monitoringFirewalls, Sophos experience a plusExperience with Dell server and storage hardwareKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of and experience supporting:Microsoft Windows desktop and server Operating Systems.Microsoft Active Directory (GPO/ACL) and Exchange environments.Hyper-V or VMWare environments.Nutanix VDI environments.Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environments.Networking infrastructureKnowledge of and experience with:Enterprise backup (Unitrends a plus).General networking principles; routing TCP/IP, DNS, VPN.Cloud technologies (O365, Azure, etc.).Knowledge of:Current network protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, TCP/IP, etc.) and server maintenance skills.Securing a network establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access.A working knowledge of SCVMM / SCCM is desirable.Familiarity with SSL, SSH, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, general knowledge of encryption.Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software.Excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow a structured process to solve problems.Excellent oral and written communication skills.INTELLECTUAL DEMANDS:
