Under the United States (U.S.) Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Global Intelligence Logistics and Engineering (GILE) program, Team V2X will provide: global multi-disciplined engineering; facilities; sustainment and maintenance of non-standard (non-Program of Record) and Program of Record intelligence systems to include the integration of new intelligence technologies and capabilities; Portal management; hardware design and integration; network management; technology development and application; and supply chain / logistics support to INSCOM, U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), Army Intelligence, Joint Forces, Combatant Commands, and the Intelligence Community (IC). Team V2X will enable INSCOM’s mission of anticipating requirements and employing innovative techniques to equip and sustain Soldiers, Civilians, systems, and facilities. As a dedicated partner to INSCOM G4, Team V2X is committed to enhancing readiness as part of Combined, Joint, and IC interdependent teams supporting tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence units, personnel, ground and aerial intelligence equipment, operation facilities, and infrastructure from multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. #clearance Responsibilities V2X is seeking a Senior Network Manager to support Physical Security Enhancement System (PSEP) requirements. Duties include: + Install, configure, integrate, and maintain automation systems. + Analyze system functions and failures to isolate and define problem areas. + Monitor the reachability of all connections within the network adhering to circuit restoral priorities and initiate troubleshooting to restore full network capability. + Monitor system performance, track usage, develop, and deliver a trend analysis of system load, usage, and response. + Analyze user traffic flow and recommend actions to assign users that communicate primarily with one group to the same router to remove traffic from the backbone links. + Manage a router-based network consisting of three electrically and physically separate subnets. + Manage IP addresses for numerous sites and adjust routing protocols to insure optimum performance. + Provide on-site and telephonic technical services necessary to insure the continuing operation and optimization of the network. + Perform diagnostic analysis of the network system, identify possible faulty devices, troubleshoot faulty modules, troubleshoot network problems and outages, and prepare necessary documentation detailing actions taken. + Maintain a system configuration database that will document all modifications to configuration changes of software or hardware. + Analyze and prepare reports recommending additional network enhancements as they become apparent. + Provide both individual and leadership activities to ensure shift and network is operating at peak efficiency. + Able to perform all duties to ensure timely, courteous, and quality support to INSCOM or other customers / affiliates. + Support U.S. Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to U.S. forces worldwide, military contingency missions, and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments. Qualifications Education / Certifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science from an accredited college or university; OR + Equivalent and four (4) years of experience; OR + Eight (8) years demonstrated military or civilian equivalent experience in network management procedures and system administration. + Able to pass required certifications / clearance requirements for working on a DoD network. Security Clearance Requirement: + Must be a US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704. + Some positions or assignments may require a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph, especially those requiring access to TDN2. Experience / Skills: + Extensive knowledge of digital routers, bridging functions, communication servers, Ethernets, network protocols (TCP/IP), patch panels, Windows, LINUX and UNIX operating systems, IP addressing and subnetting, system security procedures, and Government networks including DSNET 1 and DSNET 3 is required. + Expert level knowledge of the functions and capabilities of network interfaces and appliqués and proper configuration of router with appropriate modules. + Expert level knowledge of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) functions and capabilities. + Demonstrated ability to apply the concepts and commands required to install, configure and troubleshoot CISCO and other routers in multi-protocol inter networks (US Government networks) in a global WAN environment with centralized network control. + Ability to liaison with local, deployed, and CONUS engineering departments and DoD work centers in an effort to maintain immediate response to critical requirements resulting from analysis of current specification data on assigned systems.
