We are seeking a talented individual to join a brand-new Cloud Platform Engineering team at Marsh.

This role can be based in either one of our Liverpool, Bristol, Leeds or Manchester offices.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will be the Senior OCI Engineer for the UK & EMEA working collaboratively with US & Global colleagues, who together, support our cloud first initiatives.

Your focus will be to guide our implementation, help shape our design decisions & the tools we use, to manage our migration to AWS.

Supporting projects as well as implementing innovative technologies to engineer cloud platform services, container orchestration technologies as well as CI/CD automation.

We will count on you to:

Help design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Develop and implement cloud migration strategies to move existing on-premises workloads to OCICreate and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, including architecture diagrams, process diagrams, and standard operating proceduresCollaborate with development teams to design and implement cloud-native applicationsTroubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issuesStay current with OCI services and industry trends to ensure that cloud infrastructure is optimized for cost, performance, and reliabilityWork with security and compliance teams to ensure that cloud solutions meet industry and regulatory standardsMentor and train other IT team members on OCI best practices and cloud architecture

What you need to have: 

Experience working in OCI and IaaS and PaaS servicesStrong understanding of cloud computing concepts and principles, including Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and serverless computingUnderstanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and VCNAbility to work collaboratively with global cross-functional teams
