What is the opportunity?

As a member of the Committee Governance Office, the role of Senior Officer will support Wealth Management Europe (WME) Governance Framework working closely with the relevant committees’ secretary. This position will have regular interface with Committee Governance Office Manager, committee secretary, key stakeholders, providing and sourcing information as required to enhance the governance process.

This role supports the committee secretary, or act as committee secretary, for a range of committees within the WME governance framework, and be required to prepare agendas, minutes, actions logs and manage collation of committee reporting, Terms of Reference updates and escalations.

What will you do?

Support the committee secretary for a range of committees across the business governance framework.

Provide support to members and contributors of designated committees on governance issues, consistency, and standardisation.

Assist with committee activities including planning and preparation of committee meetings, preparation of agendas, minutes, and action logs.

Work with the committee secretary, establishing reporting standards and ensure appropriate escalations and action completion through the committee framework, the boards, and the business.

Provide support to all governance committees, responding to enquiries and sourcing solutions to issues on protocols, committee meetings, terms of reference, minute taking, preparation of documentation and other matters pertaining to committee activities and corporate governance.

Participate on cross-departmental project working groups requiring corporate governance assistance (e.g. corporate reorganisations, committee establishment, reporting standardisation and escalation framework).

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Company secretarial or legal experience in the financial services industry.

Experience in administering governance committees from a company secretarial perspective.

Strong computer skills, able to adapt and apply new technologies.

Excellent Microsoft office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint / presentational preparation skills.

Nice-to-have

Professional legal qualification (e.g. Legal Practice Course) or equivalent.

Experience of supporting businesses / entities in Europe (particularly Jersey, Ireland, UK)

Experience as a Qualified Company Secretary.
