New Business Senior Officer is responsible for providing operational support to the functional areas within the operations department. The operational support consists of special assignments, small project work, business analysis, and support execution of initiatives. The role supports execution of key strategic initiatives and projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform risk assessment for individual new business applications in accordance with the company’s underwriting guidelines, risk appetite and service pledge
Monitor daily task volumes and identify improvement opportunities to enhance the overall customer experience throughout new business application journey and operational efficiency
Participates in development, maintenance and enhancement of workflow system and contribute business requirements for new products and system development
Work closely with distribution channels to facilitate the underwriting services
Ensure compliance to company and responsible for insurance case processing and documentation of the relevant business
Assist to develop and coach offshore New Business and Underwriting Teams
Required Qualifications:
Degree preferably in business administration, finance, or a related field
4+ years of insurance or brokerage experience with individual life business
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, work independent, multi-tasking, open-minded, a good team player, customer service skills
Strong customer orientation mindset with good analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
