Senior Operations & Warehouse Manager

Overview As our Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations for the wine fulfillment warehouse including receiving, stocking, picking, inventory management, shipping, and other warehouse-related activities. You will also be responsible for planning, developing, and improving warehouse processes. Additionally, you are responsible for hiring and developing the warehouse teams across the network. Manage and oversee all functions in the warehouse, including overall system design, space utilization and layout of our warehouse. This is a leadership position that emphasizes the ability to cultivate collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-quality environment. The successful candidate will have a strong history of developing SOPs, calculating the cost elements of inventory, GMPs, safety, recommending inventory levels by item & optimizing the flow of goods to eliminate waste. Key Responsibilities: Leadership * Maintain a safe, clean and secure and accident-free warehouse. * Develop and implement the safety guidelines to ensure team safety and standardized work processes within the warehouse. * Inspire the warehouse team to achieve peak performance. * Cultivate a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members. * Document all opportunities for improvement and successes to create annual reviews and disciplinary action as required. * Mediate disputes and facilitate productive discussions among team members. Performance * Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment for all sales channels. * Allocate tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor progress. * Oversee coordination with all stakeholders for scheduled pick-ups, internal transfers and deliveries. * Oversee goods receiving operations, including the inspection of container contents and documentation. * Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the warehouse team is delivering on-time and in full pick/pack/ship. * Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to promptly address return requests, exceptions and inquiries. * Inspect returned items, assess their condition, and determine appropriate actions. * Ensure inventory accuracy in all company systems * Plan and execute regular cycle count goals for compliance * Assist in determining root causes for discrepancies and suggest corrective actions Attendance and Compliance * Enforce attendance policies and procedures for warehouse staff, including overtime, leave and time-off requests. * Monitor and approve all timecards and time-off requests, respecting state break and time-off laws. * Ensure warehouse team compliance with all company policies and labor laws * Document all accidents immediately after they occur * Plan all warehouse team time-off and work coverage ensuring proper daily coverage while adhering to budget. Responsibilities: * Lead a growing operations, warehouse, and fulfillment team. * Collaborate with the retail and import businesses to identify needs, streamline efforts across departments, and manage volume peaks and valleys. * Become proficient in ERP/WMS (Netsuite). Use reporting and data to improve order fulfillment and inventory management * Identify best practices in maintaining inventory accuracy. Establish regular inventory cycle count processes. Lead analysis of inventory turns, space utilization, staffing plan * Responsible for facilities and equipment upkeep, security and maintenance of appropriate environment for wine storage Requirements: * Broad experience managing operations and logistics. * Experience managing teams, prioritizing tasks, and operating in a fast-paced environment. * Demonstrated comfort with data analysis, root-cause problem solving, and basic Excel tools. Understanding of underlying ERP and WMS functions a must; experience in Netsuite a plus. * Hands on experience in day-to-day inventory management and order fulfillment including receiving, allocations, pick-and-pack, and discrepancy resolution. * Working knowledge of employment rules and basic compliance responsibilities in warehouse environment * Experience in some aspect of wine distribution or sales a plus.
