POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Operator, Surveillance provides monitoring and analysis of all gaming and cash handling areas and activity within the boundaries of company. Required to gather and analyse data from various sources. To ensure that any violations of the law, company regulations and/or illicit or illegal activities are logged and reported to the Specialist, Surveillance in a timely manner. The Senior Operator, Surveillance will act in the role of Supervisor, Surveillance as required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain Effective Relationship with Internal Customers
Act as a role model by maintaining a professional image in all dealings with customers, whether in person, by telephone/radio, electronically, etc.Meet the customers’ requirements and expectations through the prompt and accurate relaying of information.Use discretion in handling difficult situations, and step in to provide support to Operators, Surveillance when required. Use discretion in handling difficult situations with the assistance of a Supervisor, Surveillance.Contribute to the effectiveness of the Surveillance team by promoting a professional image and handling all situations with the required confidentially.2. Work as part of a Team
Contribute to team effectiveness by keeping informed and sharing knowledge and technical skills.Maintain effective reporting procedures by ensuring all reports are completed in a timely manner and filed appropriately, keeping appropriate personnel always informed.Act in the role of Supervisor, Surveillance as requiredTraining, support, and guidance to less experience staff3. Analyse information from information technology systems
Evaluate and analyse information from multiple sourcesRespond to situations identified through surveillance and computer analysis systems.Maintain control and confidentiality of Surveillance and computer systems.Shift statistics data gathering.4. Operate Central Monitoring /Communication Console
Observe and analyse gaming and cash handling areas using advanced IT systems, in accordance with standard operating procedures.Label, file, document, and store recording mediums.Review gaming and cash handling activities to ensure procedures have been complied with and integrity maintained.5. Survey Staff/ Customers Activity from the Monitor Room
Monitor illegal/suspicious activity of staff and customers within gaming and cash handling area, ensuring detected activities are reported to appropriate personnel.Monitor, analyse, and review gaming and cash handling activities, including high action, junket activity, count procedures, point of sale, etc.Monitor the integrity of gaming and cash handling functions through observing and reporting procedural violations, reviewing equipment, auditing transactions and table games hold percentages, etc.6. Report on illegal activities
Monitor, detect, and report on irregular, suspicious and illegal activities, ensuring appropriate personnel are informed.Document all illegal activities using recording mediums and the appropriate electronic reporting system.7. Confidentiality & Policy
Safeguard all confidential information whilst exercising due care to prevent its improper disclosure or useComply with all company policies, rules, regulations, procedures, and department ethics; and to perform all duties in accordance with the highest professional standards at all times8. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
9. Report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departments.
10. Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.
