Responsibilities

As the Senior or Lead Application Support Specialist with Hines, you will be responsible for providing support for both domestic and international users of the Hines financial systems. The candidate will act as the first phase support. Awareness of the Hines business verticals and interacting with networking and infrastructure teams to support the users holistically will be key components to success.

 

This position is a member of Application Support Team reporting directly to the Director, Integrated Technology Solutions and Support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

Provide end-user support for both domestic and international users of the Hines financial systems, assisting with application-related challengesCommunicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leadersSupport the set-up of new companies, business units and charts of accounts in the financial systemsCoach and train end users with respect to financial system functionality around Lease Management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, ASC 842 (FASB) and multi-currencyAssist with live classroom and webinar training for financial system usersAssist with end user training curriculaCollaborate with Information Technology to develop goals, objectives and priorities for Hines financial systems to ensure that the needs of internal clients are metAnticipate, research, report and act on processes to improve and maintain system consistency and enhance end-users' experienceTrain and mentor new team members on Hines processes within and outside of the financial system Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

 

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experienceFive or more years' related experienceTwo or more years' accounting experienceExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentExcellent communication skills and a proactive, customer-focused approach to supportMaintain a calm demeanorAbility to multi-taskCompose training materials, business letters, summaries, and reportsSpeak before an audience with confidence, using appropriate communication skills/styleDemonstrate strong initiative and customer service orientationExchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutionsPerform numerical and financial calculationsAnalyze and interpret several types of data in order to draw conclusions and solve problemsDemonstrate proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne – specifically Lease Management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and multi-currencyDemonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office softwareAbility to work flexible schedules outside normal business hours when requiredKnowledge of multi-family ERP systems such as Entrata and YardiFamiliarity with commercial real estate financial processesExperience with retail accounting, percentage rent and sales overage calculations Closing
