Senior Oracle Business Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Oracle Business Analyst to join our Hertz team in Dublin. This position will be part of a team working on key IT projects, delivering solutions and business process changes aligned with International Business & IT strategies, within agreed parameters of time, quality and project methodology.

 Analysis and implementation of enhancements / upgrades to the Global ERP Systems (Oracle / Ariba) to meet specified business, quality and technology requirements within agreed timescales.

 Developing full test plans to ensure that system modifications can be tested effectively in operation prior to formal implementation. 

 Provide day to day application support, ensuring that application support levels are maintained and continually approved, and problems with applications are resolved within agreed service levels.

 

What You’ll Do:

 Working as part of the European IT team to deliver the appropriate complex application changes to the Global ERP Systems (Oracle / Ariba) to meet business requirements.

Working as part of the European IT team to deliver the new applications and changes to existing applications to meet agreed business requirements. Managing own competing priorities and dependencies. Developing full test plans to ensure that system modifications can be tested effectively in operation prior to formal implementation. Work within schedules, time estimates, and project plans for all deliverables assigned. Track own involvement project milestones, identify problem areas before they impact the project. Provide regular weekly communication of progress and issues as required. Ensure self-development plans are followed and training attended, when scheduled. Coach new members of staff to ensure IT/ business expectations are met on a consistent basis. Ensure compliance with IT policies and standards. Contribute to the smooth operation of the IT function in Europe.

What We’re Looking For:

Educational Background:

BA or BSC in IT Degree –desirable, but not a necessity.

Project Management or equivalent certification preferred.

 

Professional Experience:

A background in IT with a minimum of 6 year's experience, including business analysis or development experience.

Minimum 4 year's experience with PC operating systems and Common of the shelf Applications or software applications built in-house and interface mechanisms between software applications

Experience of the Oracle E-Business suite is essential in PO/AP modules

Experience in Procure to Pay applications is an advantage, preferably ARIBA  

Knowledge:

Experience in working on a portfolio of projects and complex applications Experience in Software Development Life Cycles (agile & waterfall) Knowledge / experience of working with third party vendors / System Integrators Knowledge and experience of managing Issues and Risks within a project   Knowledge and experience of quality management principles and processes.

 Skills:

Ability to identify complex problems, make decisions, create solutions and take actions. Ability to evaluate existing systems and implement new business processes. Ability to document existing processes using swim lanes. Self-motivated and directed individual with attention to detail and strong customer service focus. Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities to strict deadlines within a highly demanding technical environment. Ability to liaise with the requester to understand the scope of the changes and all the alternatives as well as effectively work with the developer to successfully deliver the required changes. Ability to work with the business in development of an accurate feasibility study and business case for the changes requested Excellent Organizational skills.
