Our Client, a Real Estate And Financial Services company, is looking for a Senior Oracle DBA. for their Plano, TX/ McLean, VA/Hybrid location. Responsibilities: + Database Services seeking Senior Database Engineer who is responsible for database administration (on -prem) in a fast-paced operations environment supporting 24x7 business critical applications using analytical and transactional databases having Oracle expertise. + Database Engineer will be able to script and automate on-prem database activities, perform troubleshooting on any database issue, performance analysis, ensuring database security, evaluating new database trends and technologies, developing and testing automation scripting and coding required for database administration and associated database tools. + Provide DBA support on all aspects of databases administration including provisioning, backup/recovery, replication, deployment, and real time production troubleshooting responsibilities on Oracle + Install, configure, monitor, upgrade and maintain database in production and non-production environments + Provide 24x7 on call DBA support for production environment on rotation schedule and on adhoc need basis + Provide Database deployment support for Test and Production environments + Diagnose and address database performance issues using performance monitors and various tuning techniques + Interact with Systems administrators on Linix/Unix/VM operating systems issues related to Databases + Able to write database provisioning, maintenance, and reporting automation scripts + Configure and maintain Database High availability + Support data replication and Sharding + Troubleshoot database production problems and database connectivity issues + Implement DR solutions + Ability to work well as a team and as an individual with minimal supervision Requirements: + More than 10 years of experience in Database administration + Extensive Database performance tuning experience + Deep knowledge of industry-standard, enterprise-class best practices for a large database environment + Deep understanding of HA, DR Database, and storage technologies Data replication + Experience implementing, supporting, and auditing database security + Experience supporting Oracle on prem + Experience with Database monitoring tools + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Experience working in virtual environment using VMware + Database and Cloud vendor certification + Oracle - in depth performance tuning, securing, and validation. Automation, Unix Scripting, databases administration. DB2 is preferred. + Similar to Database admin but not an operational role. More into engineering + Need Min 10 Years of experience. + Candidate should performance tuning, certification for new product to ensure security. + Perform Database performance issues. + Candidate must have experience understanding the problem and remove vulnerabilities. + No production support exp is needed for this role. + This project will be is entirely on-prem, if candidate has AWS exp is an added bonus. + Experience on Oracle database. + Need Oracle 19C exp. + In depth experience in performance tuning, securing, and validation. + Automation using Unix Scripting. Ansible is good to have. + DB2 is preferred. + Oracle certification is preferred. + AWS is a plus.
