Senior Oracle Functional Analyst

Leading a small team of analysts, developers and testers, you will be responsible for delivering Oracle related system solutions for multiple Ritchie Bros enterprise-wide business or technology initiatives. Ritchie Bros has a very large implementation of Oracle ERP applications including a mix of Oracle e-Business Suite R12, Oracle ERP Cloud, and Oracle EPM Cloud. The Senior Oracle Functional Analyst will enhance the existing Oracle Financials functionality and participate in new initiatives, upgrades and major projects.   

Here’s what you bring: 

Minimum 6 years of experience in implementing, supporting Oracle EBS Finance modules in a consulting practice or business critical environment. Hands on experience in 3 or more of the following R12 financial modules: Oracle AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Purchasing, Projects, Advanced Collections, GL, EBTax Experience in Oracle R12 CRM functions such as customer party structure/relationship, de-duplication, merge, territory management, Oracle Trading Community Architecture and CRM integration with other systems Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Good understanding of contemporary systems, development methodologies (Agile preferred) and tools in a large corporate setting. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication skills and is able to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Highly self-motivated and self-directed but can also work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Understanding of underlying Oracle Apps tables, Oracle open interfaces, ability to write SQLs is an asset. Previous experience in migrating to or supporting Oracle ERP Cloud or Oracle EPM Cloud would be an asset.

Participate in the “On Call Support” rotation schedule. 

In this role you’ll:  

Take a lead role in the analysis, documentation and delivery of business solutions for all aspects of financial initiatives.Lead the development of Oracle implementations and upgrades, including GAP analysis, re-engineering opportunities, investigation and application of new release functionality, system setup, testing and training. Work closely with the business users to analyze the business problems; understand the requirements and objectives; liaise with other IT teams. Act as the primary IT contact to support end users of Finance applications and participate discussion with various business-area leaders. Evaluate new Oracle Finance components or other system applications, develop and maintain road map of recommended future initiatives to improve the efficiency of existing business processes. Diagnose system errors and work with the development team to provide accurate solutions and fixes. Occasionally supplement the Finance Sustainment team on critical or urgent support needs
