Senior OT Infrastructure Engineer
Great new role working on infra! **Senior OT Infrastructure Engineer** Location: **Tempe, AZ - MUST be local in order to work hybrid and travel between local office locations** Start: **ASAP** Contract Length: **12 months, possible to extend** Shift: **4 x 10’s, flex on FRI or MON off** Pay: **$70.00 - $90.00 per hour (depending on experience)** **Team is primarily looking for someone focused on infra and virtualization.** **Job Brief:** We are looking to hire an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to provide infrastructure design, architecture, implementation, and support services to COMPANY fleet of generation technology assets. This includes complex power generation control systems and network infrastructures that support power generation facilities. Acting as a contingent worker and member of the Generation Infrastructure, Security, & Compliance (GISC) team, you will be responsible for contributing to decisions about design and planning, managing relationships with internal customers, and resolution of infrastructure related issues. This is a bridge position between Engineering, Operational Technology (OT) support, and Information Technology (IT) and requires an understanding of all areas and a willingness to learn and grow technically. To ensure success in this position, the candidate should have extensive experience working with enterprise virtualization and network infrastructures, systems administration, collaborating with other IT and technical engineering teams, and managing the full spectrum of virtualization and network systems used across Generation. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be helping to build the next generation of technology infrastructure in support of COMPANY of Power Generation Plants. **Job Responsibilities:** • Design, architect, implement, and maintain complex industrial virtualization infrastructures with considerations and integrations to Palo Alto firewalls/ VPNs, Cisco switches/routers, & various other server/infrastructure technologies. • Provide integration and systems administration for various control technologies. Systems administration will include technologies that handle directory services, monitoring, patching, privileged access mgmt, logging, OS management, backup & disaster recovery, & various other operational systems in support of the power plants. • Collaborate with Cyber Security Services to utilize standard security strategies to ensure protection of sensitive data, systems, applications, and physical assets. • Identify emerging technologies and technical trends and develop recommendations for future use at COMPANY, while navigating vendor technology, licensing, and ownership changes • Manage individual work tickets while actively developing relationships and communication to help maintain high service levels with customers • Contribute to development and maturity of formalized service management and departmental documentation • Work with vendors on hardware and software procurement, maintenance and troubleshooting. • Provide executive level status reports • Lead and manage projects • Understand and adhere to all related NERC CIP requirements as required **Education:** • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment. **Experience:** Five (5) years full time experience actively engaged in virtualization engineering practice. Must demonstrate the successful accomplishment of work appropriate to the level of experience required that meets the following minimum criteria. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience implementing/supporting/troubleshooting VMWare virtualization stacks including all associated hardware and software. • Experience implementing and supporting various technology systems such as Splunk, BeyondTrust Password Management, Cohesity Backup, Windows Server, Active Directory, ManageEngine Patch and Endpoint Management is desired. • Experience supporting full stack technology implementations from network to business application a plus. • Experience evaluating security configurations to determine if unacceptable risks are appropriately mitigated. • Experience establishing and evaluating best practices related to virtualization systems, operating systems and monitoring **Additional Information:** • Must be flexible and willing to learn in a fast-changing environment. • Experience working in an industrial setting is a plus. • Proven communication skills, including the ability to listen, and the ability to form productive working relationships. • Strong organizational skills that support documenting, categorizing, and prioritizing requirements. • Strong problem solving and conceptual, strategic, and creative thinking abilities. • Knowledge of network architectures, TCP/IP, routing and switching • Knowledge of Controls Systems technologies such as Emerson, Foxboro, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation and GE is desirable. • Ability to work remote or on-site as needed, including means to travel to various locations and generation facilities throughout COMPANY. • Safety and Reliability are our top priorities. • Current industry certifications will be given preference. o VMware o Cisco o Palo Alto o Microsoft o Cyber Security o Project Management o Service Management • Please include a cover letter explaining how your experience fulfills the needs of this position. • Must possess the appropriate valid Arizona driver's license. **Pay Details:** $70.00 to $90.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
