The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, in a pleasant working atmosphere and environment. **What is the job about?** You will join our global Packaging Development Team within our Research & Development unit in Székesfehérvár, Hungary with a possible start date in January 2025, interviews start in December. You will get to work with numerous skilled and dedicated colleagues in Hungary, Denmark and China. We work with an Agile mindset where teams are stable, work autonomously and are empowered. As a Senior Packaging Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing packaging solutions of Grundfos products, from gathering requirements to ensuring that the solution works for the entire supply chain. **Your main responsibilities** : + Gathering packaging requirements from various stakeholders, both for development and maintenance tasks. + Design packaging solutions for Grundfos products, mainly box-products. + Present concepts of packaging solution to stakeholders with pros and cons (cost, robustness, logistic, sustainability) and facilitate the decision making. + Support the team with other types of tasks, e.g. packaging graphic designs and/or design of wood packaging for our bigger sized products. + Ensure modularity in the packaging designs. + Ensure the transfer of the packaging design to the full value chain, e.g. production. + Ensure the packaging solution is tested. + Mentor others. + Provide substance and content within own professional area. + Ensure knowledge-sharing. **Your background** : **We imagine that you have:** + Bachelor’ or Master’ degree preferred in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering. + Minimum 5 years experience with packaging design + Experience and knowledge of packaging manufacturing technologies. + Material knowledge. Mandatory: material for box products (corrugated paper, molded pulp and fiber, honeycomb, plastic, etc). Optional: Wood. + Ability to work independently on projects. + Experience with project and stakeholder management: Product Managers, Purchasing, Compliance. + Tools experience. Mandatory: ArtiosCAD. Optional: SAP, 3D CAD, Catia, Illustrator. + Ability to work together with suppliers and colleagues in any functions of the organization. + Potential and desire to broaden skill set to contribute with more in the team, e.g. work with wood, and/or graphic design for packaging. + Excellent communication skills in English, oral as well as in writing. + Occasional travels to Denmark or Serbia, typically for one week, 1-2 times per year. **What’s in it for you?** Working from home is a great option for many of our employees.
