Senior Packaging Engineer
Lead for all activities related to the planning, budgeting, design, procurement, and management of both returnable and expendable packaging for assigned programs in Phases 2 – 5 of the launch process. Develop and mature the packaging plan for the CAR using available part data, review opportunities for reuse from existing programs and existing YF assets available at HPJ, Nievaland our production plants. Work with plant and AME teams to understand system day and process requirements for fleet size determination. Support finished good packaging requirements (whetherfinished good packaging is YF or customer responsibility). Responsibilities include design development meetings, prototype reviews, PDF’s, updating of customer systems, back up expendable developmentand testing requirements.  Monitor build and delivery of packaging fleets External supplied parts: work with suppliers to ensure Pack Spec is uploaded with packaging plans, ensure YF packaging standards are met WIP packaging (4 walls and YF to YF) gather design requirementsand confirm fleet size requirements from YF Plants, competitively quote all designs, review awardeddesign with plant for approval, prototype review, order production packaging to support plant buildrequirements, monitor build and delivery of all containers Implement RFID tracking on allYF owned assets. Including generating new container numbers, ordering tags and working with fabricators to ensure tag application and activation. Participate and conduct RFID scans as needed until plant teams can support on their own Support PFEP maintenance and cleanup throughout the launch process as part numbers change and bump to ensure data is updated and maintained in Pack Spec Support SDT teams for all programs by attending meetings, LRR’s, updating gate workbooks and providing launch support items as required Work with program controllers to review budget and projected spend of budget. Work with procurement on all sourcing decisionsand to ensure all expendable back up and production expendable requirements have been added to blanket PO’s’.
