Senior Paralegal-Affirmative Litigation
The Legal Operations and Shared Services team is looking for a Senior Paralegal with experience in affirmative litigation. This role will support a new Litigation team dedicated to recovering damages for The Cigna Group or its subsidiaries. The Senior Paralegal should be able to manage multiple deadlines, communicate valuable information about affirmative litigation clearly to internal contacts, and be knowledgeable about class action settlement claims and other recoveries-based affirmative litigation. **Responsibilities:** + Collaborate with legal department and other Cigna colleagues to evaluates disputes with third parties. . + Prepare and evaluate complex and sensitive legal documentation to resolve issues and support both internal and external counsel. + Compile and report metrics associated with affirmative litigation matters and recovery-related activities. + Collect documentation for responding to discovery, submitting proof of claims, or other filings related to the affirmative litigation program. + Implement streamlined operational procedures to enhance efficiency. **Qualifications** + A bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred. + **8+ years of experience in paralegal support for complex affirmative litigation or a class action recovery program; experience within an in-house corporate legal function is required.** + Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is preferred. + The candidate must be capable of working independently, demonstrating sound judgment, and maintaining confidential information. + Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks is essential + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Hybrid- This person will work 3 days in office.
