As a Senior Paralegal, you'll support the Litigation and Employment teams across myriad functions, including case and discovery management, legal research, subpoena processing, factual investigations and due diligence, and comprehensive support of litigation strategies for the entire portfolio of company litigation.
About the Role
Draft, prepare, organize, maintain, and file legal documents Prepare factual background and case summaries for prospective and active casesPrepare, process, and manage litigation hold noticesPerform legal research and analysis including, but not limited to, statutes, caselaw, and legal articles to support development of case strategyCoordinate internal due diligence, document identification, and discovery management to ensure proper coordination for in-house and outside counselConduct initial case research and factual background summaries compiled from internal systemsTitle claims review, initiation and managementManage portfolio of cases with outside counsel, including delinquent dues, taxes, code violations, eminent domain petitions, and lien foreclosureDiscovery management and processing of document productionsAssist in management of third-party subpoena review and processingProvide administrative and docketing support to support litigation team across the litigation portfolioAbout You
Minimum QualificationsAssociate's or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related fieldAt least ten (10) years of experience as a paralegal with a focus on litigation, mortgage, or financial services subject areasStrong knowledge of legal research tools, legal billing software, document management systems, and office softwareAbility to function effectively in a demanding and time sensitive environmentAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing requirementsExceptional organization and teamwork skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working on employment related litigation and pre-litigation matters, cease and desist letters and processing employment file requests.What You’ll Get
